Widget Upload Notification

I recently uploaded a widget as I have on previous occassions. After waiting 4 days I get upload notification in email telling me my widget needs to be re-uploaded to Objects section because the widget I submitted is not a stand alone programme and needs DX installed to run it.

What the hell,,all widgets need DX installed on computer to run. Someone, eg administrator/moderator has confused widgets with gadgets or has someone changed the game plan without letting Joe Public in on it.

Is this just another broken cog in the increasingly delapidated Wincustomize machine?

Why not reply to the mail you recived from the admin?

There is still no need for taking these matters into the public when it can be resolved via email.

Waiting patiently for a moderator to answer. I have emailed back and forth and still got no satisfactory answer although Paul Martin tried so a thankyou to him but the reply "Can you re-up it to the right section?" simply isnt good enough. Its a widget not an object!

Ah....my fault....confused Gadgets with Widgets...due to a private admin comment suggesting the upload was wrongly placed...and yes, it was my suggestion to post here for clarification of appropriate upload location.

What wasn't asked-for was a suggestion that this was an opportunity to defame the Wincustomize.com site.

The request was that it be uploaded to the Object section, that is all.

[btw...the 'other' thread will be removed...you can call THAT censorship if you must]...

Well thats ok Jafo and thanks again for your help on this,, my upload was and still is a widget exe. so isnt an object but a DX widget. I wasnt trying to "defame" Wincustomize in my first post, just stating that the "cogs" that make the Wincustomize wheels turn need a little oil. I think Snowman would have been better off helping to solve the problem rather than just locking the thread when he didnt like what I wrote.

As for the "other" thread being removed, yes, I MUST call that censorship
